Course Overview

To be eligible for a Bayer Protection Warranty, homes must have a complete management system installed. Extensions and renovations are ineligible.

Some houses may not be eligible for due to conducive conditions. Some conducive conditions include:

  • Concrete slabs
    poured that compromise termite barrier.
  • Garden beds up against the house that compromise visual inspection zones.
  • Deck built or stairs
built that compromise visual inspection zones.
  • Airconditioning runoff that is not directed away from the property.
  • Firewood stored under/against the property.

In a termite inspection with a Bayer Accredited Timber Pest Inspector (BATPI), the inspector will list any conducive conditions at the property on the timber pest inspection report. The BATPI will provide some recommendations to the homeowner on how to manage these conducive conditions.

We ask that the homeowner meet the recommendations prior to the Bayer Protection Warranty being offered. If these conducive conditions cannot be rectified or recommendations are not met, we cannot offer the homeowner a Bayer Protection Warranty.

It is important to include conducive conditions in the timber pest inspection report and to send the report to Bayer. The homeowner or timber pest inspector will be notified by Bayer if the property is eligible for a Bayer Protection Warranty.
